"Awesome dream!
I was a young dude, thrown without warning into a world where some special young people have special powers and are divided into teams based on these powers. Some powers are cool, some are mundane. Some examples are super strength, perfect balance, the ability to tell time with your mind, running really fast. Each young person has about 3 individual powers that they have to discover and develop. There's a secret town where students receive classes to enhance their abilities. Out of my 3 powers, the one I discovered was running fast.
I was an outsider, unfamiliar with how everything works. Young men were disappearing from the city-- their wives were heartbroken. The city was right on the border of another province, which I was not supposed to enter because it was dangerous (I knew it was either Guerrero or Oaxaca). However, the border between the states went right through the city. I was near the border one day when I heard a horrendous noise-- someone explained to me that the neighboring state has been attacked by giant rats. I peeked around the corner to see several of them. A boat was loading up soldiers to fight the rats and I recognized one of the guys as a missing person (so, like, conscripted/kidnapped or something). So I realized that there was something funky going on in the city.
Soon the rats started moving towards our province-- they busted through a fancy bridge over the river and started moving down the river. I got involved and started trying to slow down/destroy the rats. I was brave and shouted out instructions to other people in the area. So even though I was the brand-new person in town I was taking leadership and wisely guiding others.
(Earlier in the dream -- students rotate through three classes designed to teach them to utilize their 3 special powers. The first class I went to was the "fast running" class.
It was a really sweet dream.)"
