"DREAM:
Enormous mansion visit with other Fulbrighters. Exterior and some interior architecture was very classical-looking, cool and antique-y, but lot of actual construction (i.e. bedrooms) inside the mansion was surprisingly modern. I tried to go inside every bedroom to see what it was like just because I am very curious. In one room I found three beds tucked under a low overhang in the wall and I noticed there was a human hand sticking out of it (I was also looking for abandoned bodies in the rooms, for some reason) but when I touched it the person responded by purposely scaring me (Jeremy?). The mansion was HUGE, large enough to hold a city inside of it. I eventually left the group I had entered with (Leslie and Caitlyn?) because * (Fulbright) appeared and was acting really affectionate towards me. He kept putting his head on my shoulder and gently kissing the top of my head. At first I thought that, because he's gay, it was just sort of a fatherly thing.But then he asked me, and I found out he had asked other people too, about the morality of being gay.I took this to mean, then, that he was rethinking it and possibly interested in me. Then % (also Fulbright), who to my knowledge is not gay, got jealous because he apparently had some latent love-feelings for *.
A bunch of us ate ice cream together (I remember that Ilana got raspberry sherbet) and then when everyone else left I ate their leftover ice cream in greedy gulps, discovering along the way that there were tiny laminated pictures of everybody's family hidden in their tubs of ice cream (oh, did I mention they were TUBS?) So I licked off all the pictures and saved them for my friends.
Later I was by myself in a lagoon-like area inside the massive mansion. I had to use my fingertips and toes to slowly move myself across a tiny ledge along the wall above the murky water during a section where there was no boardwalk. There, also clinging to the wall, was Markiplier. I asked if he was being recorded (so I would know if there was a chance I might appear in one of his videos). He gave a noncommittal creepily-whispered answer so I tried to play it cool and be really witty just in case.
I kept seeing an aerial view of the mansion's interior, which was circular and had a big lake in the middle. I saw there was a cathedral area I hadn't visited yet, so even though we were being called back I rushed to go visit it. It was really big inside, and square, with high cobblestone walls and a single statue. I tried to take a picture of it so I could draw it later but it was too dark. When I walked out of the cathedral it was closing time and people were mopping and some of the Fulbright people had come looking for me. It turned out that we had paid for a certain amount of time in the mansion and since I had taken longer I would be charged for the extra time. It would be 1,800 pesos. I remember feeling worried because I had already used almost all of January's money and couldn't pay the bill.
Then I woke up.
Funny how reality mixes itself in... especially what we're worried about."

"Dream: tower + threatening meat chute??? Invisible wall around big house. Couldn't lock door. I was the boss. Dreamed that M was married to J (instead of P) but M was actually kind of in love with me.

Jan 26, 2016-- Temple + Dog
"Dream:
- Wanted Mom and Dad to go with me to the aqueduct of the local temple
- I went back to Mel's to work 3rd shift but I didn't know any of the guests and everything was rearranged and I was wearing my sweatpants
- In the temple I fought an evil guy who was using glowy spirits and I was absorbed by his assistant but I was so powerful that I took over her body and used it to fight the evil guys and the medusa that he summoned. (???)
- There was an evil guy disguised as a small dog that was trying to find diamonds (which were disguised as a dog collar) (???)"
Jan 17, 2016-- Nexus Kitten
"Tried something new-- went to bed really early and tried to get up earlier than normal. Oh wait! I had a dream last night. I found a little kitten that was black with white spots. His name was Nexus. What??? But it was pretty sweet dream so maybe I'll name my next cat that. (Listen to that beautiful phrase: "my next cat.") The cat was smart and polite (oh yeah, it talked) and even apologized to me for something."
Jan 9, 2016-- Stomach Mountain
"An early-morning recorded description of my dream from the night of Jan 9:
'Ben and I needed a place to stay so Mom and Dad drove us to this enormous mansion on a big hill. However, when we got there-- oh, and we were afraid that the guy who owned the mansion might be... invisible?? Which was somehow scary. So when we got there it turned out that he actually rented his rooms to a bunch of people, and that we would have to share rooms with, like, three other people each and sleep on exercise bikes. And he didn't pay federal taxes on all his guests, which made me nervous. So we decided to leave and go up the hill/mountain thing, but somehow something happened or we triggered something and vines started crawling up the mountain behind us and, like, closing everything off and killing everyone. So we had to go up the mountain, stopping at different points that um, represented organs in the body. So we had to stop at, like, a section that represented, um... like, like a hand, and a heart, and like a kidney I think? And at each one we had to do different tasks to be able to keep going up. And it was really cool because it was sort of like a video game. And it was, like, free-roaming so we could go wherever we wanted in the game. And at the top of the mountain when we got to the brain, we succeeded in destroying the mountain-creature thing so that the vines stopped coming up. Alsoooo... I visited Querétaro again and.... I don't remember that part yet.'"

Jan 13, 2016-- Futuristic Transgender Escape
"Dream: It was awesome.
A futuristic city with lots of really tall skyscrapers. I was a captive test subject trying to escape. (Or maybe I had already escaped and a lot of the dream was a flashback.) I specifically remember someone bringing me to the skyscraper where I had been held and escorting me to the exact room that had been mine (number 9, with metallic sliding doors) and I caught my breath when I saw it because it brought back so many terrible memories. I was hyperventilating. I sat down on the floor in front of the door and just looked at it. Soon a small, young person came and curled up next to me with their head on my lap and I realized that they were a kindred spirit, someone else who had been part of the terrible experiments. They were accompanied by their mother, who stood to the side and observed us sympathetically, understanding that we were reliving the experience together. I confided that I had once been a boy, but had undergone a forcible sex-change during the experiments.
Other parts of the dream were flashbacks-- I forged scientists' signatures on papers to give myself a chance to get out of my cell and escape. There was one specific man in charge of the evil corporations and the experiments. I met his son and we fell in love. He tried to help me evade security measures to help me escape. I was preparing myself to confess my sex-change secret to him and see if he still loved me when his father appeared and I had to try to escape. I had a tool with which I bored through walls and tried to evade the force sent to collect me.
I ended up in an apartment on the side of one of the skyscrapers and realized it was the home of some direct relations of the evil boss man.
City was filled with ENORMOUS gasoline refineries."

Dec 24-- Lizard Home & Cola Spaceship
"Dream:
For Christmas Mom bought me a ride in a Cola-bottle spaceship. I invited Chelsea to ride with me but she didn't know if she could-- he mom said she needed to carry a cell phone with her at all times and she didn't know if she would get reception in space.
Dream 2:
I lived at Steve and Marichuy's house. I adopted a horned lizard and fed it cat food. I worried that it would escape while I wasn't home because I didn't have a cage for it. But whenever I came home it was super excited to see me and came running at me in a creepy, lizardy way and jumped up on me with its little claws."

Dec 23-- Balloons & Instrument Party
"Dream: Old R.A. Grayson was holding a conference on "Imaginary Instrument Playing," which seemed like just a sneaky way to get people to give him money for doing nothing. But to his surprise, thousands of people showed up for his conference and he had to scurry to come up with an actual curriculum. Also R.S. was there and I was a bit into him until I realized he was 9 years old. (What??)

Dec 22-- Teeth Fall Out
"I dreamed that I had long, soft, dark reddish-purply hair. I looked fantastic. Is this my subconscious telling me I need to grow my hair out?
I also dreamed that all my teeth fell out, and by "all my teeth" I mean "I slowly expelled from my mouth several pounds of drool, blood, and tooth-glop-a-la-rice-pudding." But I'm starting to become more self-aware in my teeth-falling-out dreams, because I was telling people 'Oh, don't worry about it-- they fall out, but they always grow back. It's like a superpower.'"

Dec 18-- Giant Rats
"Awesome dream!
I was a young dude, thrown without warning into a world where some special young people have special powers and are divided into teams based on these powers. Some powers are cool, some are mundane. Some examples are super strength, perfect balance, the ability to tell time with your mind, running really fast. Each young person has about 3 individual powers that they have to discover and develop. There's a secret town where students receive classes to enhance their abilities. Out of my 3 powers, the one I discovered was running fast.
I was an outsider, unfamiliar with how everything works. Young men were disappearing from the city-- their wives were heartbroken. The city was right on the border of another province, which I was not supposed to enter because it was dangerous (I knew it was either Guerrero or Oaxaca). However, the border between the states went right through the city. I was near the border one day when I heard a horrendous noise-- someone explained to me that the neighboring state has been attacked by giant rats. I peeked around the corner to see several of them. A boat was loading up soldiers to fight the rats and I recognized one of the guys as a missing person (so, like, conscripted/kidnapped or something). So I realized that there was something funky going on in the city.
Soon the rats started moving towards our province-- they busted through a fancy bridge over the river and started moving down the river. I got involved and started trying to slow down/destroy the rats. I was brave and shouted out instructions to other people in the area. So even though I was the brand-new person in town I was taking leadership and wisely guiding others.
(Earlier in the dream -- students rotate through three classes designed to teach them to utilize their 3 special powers. The first class I went to was the "fast running" class.
It was a really sweet dream.)"
